CHALLENGE

Instanta’s existing plastic injection moulding supplier had reached full capacity and it urgently needed a new supplier to take over production of 20 of its mouldings. To minimise impact on production, Instanta required a fast turnaround.

SOLUTION

Wheatley Plastics was selected and appointed as the new supplier to take over 20 tools. Instanta required some of the more urgent mouldings within a very short time frame of around 4 weeks to ensure that production was not impacted.

Wheatley Plastics was quickly able to produce the initial samples, undergoing trialling to ensure that Instanta could approve them and sign off production. Within just a few weeks, Wheatley Plastics was producing mouldings from all 20 tools to the necessary quality and standards. Consequently, Instanta has now moved several other mouldings to Wheatley Plastics from other suppliers.

OUTCOME

Instanta was able to continue production without disruption. Wheatley Plastics now holds stock for Instanta with a flexible approach to call off and a monthly delivery service.
