Thank you for attending Wheatley Plastics’ 70th celebrations!

On Wednesday the 25th of May, Wheatley Plastics celebrated its 70th anniversary in style, welcoming over 100 customers and suppliers, past, present, and future, to its new factory facility located in Hazel Grove.

To celebrate 70 years of plastic injection moulding excellence, Managing Director Gary Knight presented an overview and history of Wheatley, its growth to date and its future ambitions. Operations Manager Donna Westall offered an overview of Wheatley Plastics’ capabilities and how changes to procedures and new initiatives have greatly improved efficiency across the board. Guests were then treated to individual presentations from key members of Wheatley’s team, some of whom proved to be naturals!

Topics including logistics and quality, as well as Wheatley’s commitment to supporting the local community through charitable work were discussed, before attendees were invited to ask any questions of Wheatley’s staff, who enthusiastically provided their expertise in their respective fields. Demonstrations of Wheatley’s machinery and automated processes were also given, offering unique insights into the plastic injection moulding process. Guests also enjoyed a Hog Roast lunch and an opportunity to network with other business leaders, both from the local area and further afield.

The event was also attended by Wheatley’s longstanding partners, Spitfire AMS, Borche, Intouch, and Campetella, who presented alongside staff at Wheatley, showing how, through their collaborations with Wheatley, they have helped the company grow.
